1. About us
3DPrint Galway (Company Reg. No. 775769), Currandrum, Claregalway, Co. Galway, Ireland. Email: info@3dprintgalway.ie.
These terms apply to all quotes, orders, printing and design work we provide. If you are buying as a consumer (for purposes outside your trade, business or profession), nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under Irish consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
2. Estimates, quotes and when a contract is made
- Prices from the Instant Quote Calculator and the "typical" prices on our homepage are estimates only, not offers.
- Sending us a request form or a Lithophane order form is a request for a quote. It doesn't commit you to anything, and nothing is charged.
- We'll reply with a written quote (price, material, delivery method and estimated timeline). A contract is formed only when you accept that quote and we confirm your order in writing.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in euro and are the total price you pay. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Delivery charges are shown separately in your quote, unless the price says it's "posted" (for example, Lithophane Maker prices include delivery within Ireland).
- We'll tell you how to pay when we confirm your order. We may ask for payment, or a deposit, before we start printing or design work.
- If, after looking at your file or photo more closely, the job turns out to be materially different from what was quoted, we'll contact you with a revised quote before doing any further work. You're free to decline it.
4. Your files, photos and designs
- You confirm that you have the right to use any photos, files, designs, logos or names you send us, and that printing them won't infringe anyone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights.
- We use your files only to make your order. We don't reuse, share or sell your designs.
- We may refuse any job at our discretion, including weapons or weapon parts, items that are illegal to make or own, items that infringe someone else's rights, or anything we reasonably consider unsafe.
- Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we keep the copyright in 3D models and CAD files that we create for you; you own the physical item we deliver. If you'd like the design file as well, just ask and we'll quote for it.
5. What to expect from a 3D print
- 3D-printed parts are made layer by layer, so fine layer lines, small surface marks and slight colour variation are normal and are not defects.
- Dimensions are accurate to within typical FDM tolerances (usually a few tenths of a millimetre). If a part needs a tighter fit, tell us in your request so we can agree tolerances in the quote.
- Replacement parts modelled from photos are made on a best-effort basis. Where exact fit matters, we may suggest sending the original part or a test print first.
- Our prints are not certified for food contact, medical use, children's toys, or safety-critical or load-bearing uses where failure could cause injury or damage. Please don't use them for those purposes unless we have specifically agreed in writing that the item is suitable.
6. Delivery and collection
- We deliver within Ireland, and local collection in Galway is available by arrangement.
- Delivery times are estimates. If we can't deliver within 30 days of confirming your order (or by any date we agreed), we'll let you know, and as a consumer you may be entitled to cancel and get a full refund.
- The item is our responsibility until it is delivered to you (or someone you nominate). Please tell us promptly if it arrives damaged. This doesn't limit your statutory rights.
7. Cancellations, returns and faulty items
Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: custom and personalised items made to your specifications can't be returned just because you've changed your mind, but you always have full statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.
8. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
- If you are a business customer, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or production downtime.
9. Privacy
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Complaints and disputes
If something isn't right, please email info@3dprintgalway.ie first. We'll aim to reply within 5 working days and sort it out. If we can't resolve it, consumers can get independent information from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (opens in a new tab) and may use the District Court Small Claims procedure (opens in a new tab).
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when we confirm your order applies to that order.
